Ndejje University is a private Institution of Higher Learning, Chartered by the Government of Uganda. As of October 2010, the university maintains the four campuses: The Main Campus – Located on Ndejje Hill, in Luweero District, Lady Irene Campus – Also located on Ndejje Hill., The Kampala Campus – Located at 151 Balintuma Road, Mengo, in Kampala, Uganda’s capital city, Nakasongola Campus – in the process of acquiring 400 acres (160 ha) in Nakasongola District, to house the research facility in renewable energy and environmental management.
Ndejje University offers a wide range of study opportunities that range from undergraduate, graduate as well as continuing career enhancement options. These include Evening Study programmes designed to offer opportunities mainly the working class.
Ndejje University Library at the Main Campus has more than 30,000 volumes of books and about 5,000 other special collections. There is a branch of the same at the Kampala Campus, stocked mostly with the business books and other related documents. Information and Communications Technology services are on hand at all its three campuses. The University has a students’ health service providing medical facilities, free of charge, to students on a full- time basis. The complicated cases are referred to Mengo Hospital in Kampala. Canteen services are provided for shopping basic life goods.
Ndejje University has a number of halls of residence at the main campus but private bed-sit rentals are also available at very affordable prices. Students at the Kampala campus on Namirembe Hill can avail themselves of private hostel facilities in the city’s suburbs. The University provides for a wide range of sports and recreation including football, volleyball, rugby, badminton, among others.
