Maganjo Institute of Career Education started in 1994 with one student the late Sebuyungo Dirisa who offered Motor vehicle technician course part I. The first principal was the late Kasozi E. followed by Mr. Senyonga Micheal 1999 Mr. Okalang Patrick 2000 – 2010 Mwanja George 2011 – to date Maganjo institute of career education was registered and classified by Ministry of Education and sports in the year 2000.

Courses: Maganjo Institute of Career Education offers the following; Diploma in catering and Hotel management Diploma in marketing and business administration Diploma in Graphic designing and printing Diploma in Beauty and cosmetology Diploma in Motor vehicle Repair and Workshop management Diploma in Accountancy Diploma in Electrical installation Diploma in project planning and local government administration. Maganjo Institute of Career Education also offers certificates in catering and Hotel management marketing and business administration Graphic designing and printing Beauty and cosmetology Motor vehicle Repair and maintenance Accountancy Electrical installation project planning and local government administration.

Objectives

  • To provide high quality vocational education and Training at an affordable cost.
  • To be a centre of learning, debate and discussion on Business practices, the economy, technology and vocational related issues.
  • To provide accessible and affordable consultancy services in education, management systems, manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, trade, commerce, computer and information technology to those who need it.
  • To own and / or manage different projects with a view of providing industrial training to our students.
  • To train and groom our students to be able to harness their environment / local resources to better their lives and those of the community in which they live. This will equip them with the skills to create employment for themselves and others and
  • To provide a strong academic ground to our students so that they can progress to higher levels of learning and transform vocational education and training into a respected and profitable career thereby breaking down the negative colonial prejudice against vocational training.
