Bright Doves of St. Francis is a faith based Ugandan Youth organization established in 2006 and based in Kamwokya – Kampala. Bright Doves of St. Francis adheres to and are inspired by the spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi by virtue of which they belong to and are networked with the Young Franciscans (Youfra) of Uganda.
Bright Doves of St. Francis focus on spiritual, social and economic empowerment and development of the youth in the community. Bright Doves is a registered Community Based Organization (CBO) under Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and works through the Youfra network to reinforce cultural values which emphasize freedom, democracy and non violence by propagating peace and helping the young discover and utilize their potential.
Membership: Bright Doves of St. Francis accepts members and provides effective training to all without discrimination based on gender, religion or tribal identity. This membership is categorized into two; the Junior Doves of ages 12 and below and Senior Doves of ages 13 and above.

- Promoting unity among the youth in our community and mobilizing them for community development.

- Creating awareness among the youth about safe sex practices and the prevention of HIV/AIDS.

Mission: Bright Doves of St. Francis mission is to help the young grow spiritually, in full knowledge of their rights and all the environmental and social concerns in our community and to empower them economically.
Vision: The Bright Doves are destined to being a model youth organization that reinforces cultural values which emphasize freedom, democracy and non violence by propagating peace and helping the young discover and utilize their potential.
