Mbarara Junior School is a grade one mixed, day and boarding nursery and Primary School registered with the Uganda Ministry of Education. The school is located at about 2 Km from Mbarara City Center on Ishaka-Bushenyi road, just after Mbarara High School and St. James Cathedral Ruharo.
The school started in 1911 under foundation of Church of Uganda and became government aided in 1952. The school is manned by a 42 teacher staff and 32 technical staff. The school boosts of international students from all over E.African region including: Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan.
