Navigation

Kibiri Church of Uganda Primary School was established in 1952 by missionaries. Today it caters for more than 640 pupils (90 boarders) from Primary 1 to 7. The school has 17 teachers and 12 classrooms but they are all in a poor condition. The government grant was 2,500,000 Ugandan shillings (approx. $1,000). Day students pay fees of 45,000 shillings ($16) per term and boarders pay 240,000 shillings ($90) per term.

[related_posts]The school has excelled at the national level in music, dance and drama but, in addition to the poor quality of the classrooms and furniture, lacks staff quarters, an assembly hall, a dining hall and lunches for students. Electricity is sparse. The school is planning to start a library and renovate the teachers’ housing. They are in need of a van for transportation. They have recently begun to raise chickens to help supplement a source of income.
