Kaleu Primary School is located in Eastern Uganda, in Bukedea district. The closest town to the school is Kumi Town which is 32 kilometres away. The remote location is what inspired the parents and community members to establish a school there in 2008.
Kaleu Primary School is now under the supervision of government. It was identified for support by Build Africa Uganda staff and Non Government Organization in 2010. Over the years, with the help of supporters, the NGO(Build Africa) has taken fundamental steps to ensure that Kaleu becomes a successful school. The School has constructed new classrooms and a drilled a borehole to provide the school with a safe and sustainable water source.

With the sustained support from donors, well wishers and fundraisers, the school administration can continue to change in the community:
- Build classrooms with a teacher’s office.
- Procure Children’s desks and teachers furniture.
- Provide a kitchen with a stove and store, so the school can cook the food grown in the school garden and provide lunch for the children, increasing their ability to concentrate and learn.
