City Parents’ School is a Nursery and Primary institution registered by the Ministry of Education and Sports. The school has an estimated pupil population of 3400 and staff population of about 180 employees. The school accommodates a multi-cultural combination of pupils from various countries, religious and ethnic backgrounds.

Objectives

City Parents’ School has a Nursery Curriculum is based on the Learning Frame Work for Early Childhood Development (ECD) designed by the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) under the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Subjects: Relating with others in acceptable way, Taking care of myself for proper growth and development, Interacting, exploring, knowing and using my environment, Developing and using Mathematical concepts in my day-today experiences, Developing and using my language appropriately

City Parents’ School has a Primary Education that is based on the Uganda National Curriculum designed by the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) under the Ministry of Education and Sports. Thematic and Subject Based Curriculum is the integrated approach of learning areas taught in lower and upper Primary respectively.

Lower Primary Subjects: English, Numeracy, Literacy I and II, Religious Education, News, Story telling, Creative Performing Art, CAPE 1 (Music, Dance and Drama), CAPE 2 (Physical Education), Luganda, French.

Upper Primary Subjects: English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Religious Education, Creative Arts and Physical Education (CAPE), CAPE 1 (Music Dance and Drama), CAPE 2 (Physical Education), CAPE 3(Art and Technology), Luganda, French.

Children are admitted in respective streams and classes without discrimination with regard to gender, religion, nationality and race. Application forms can be got from the office of the Headteacher.

  1. Interviews for new entrants for the year.
  2. The beginning age for Nursery entry is three (3) years.
  3. Admissions are open to all interested parents and guardians except candidate class.

Library: The school has three well stocked libraries for pupils to ensure good reading and research.

  • Upper Primary library for pupils from P4 to P7
  • Nursery & Lower Primary library for Pupils from Nursery, P1 to P3

Clinic: We have two well established sick bays with Professional Medical Nurses assisted by a stand by doctor for the case of health emergencies.

Computer Lab: We have a well stocked computer lab for teachers.

Parking: We also have ample parking space for our parents/guardians.

Societies & Clubs: Societies’ department is a vibrant department that has strategically played an important role in shaping discipline, responsibility, excellence and academic performance of our pupils.

The department is comprised of more than twenty active clubs. The members of each club follow the termly work plan ranging from environmental protection, home economics, games and sports, speech and public debate, corporate social responsibility, among others.

Societies include: Friends of Uganda Martyrs, Scouts Club, French Club, Performing Arts, Quran, Science Club, Mathematics Club, Debating & Public Speech, Home Economics, Scripture Union, Art & Technology, Environmental Awareness Club, Aids Awareness Club, Red Cross Society, Luganda Club, Social Studies Club, Girl Child Network, Performing Arts Club, Life Skills.

Co-curricular: Games & Sports: Athletics, Football, Volleyball, Netball, Wood ball, Swimming.
