Bishop’s Primary School Mukono West was founded in 1910 by Bishop Turner of the Church of Uganda, Bishop’s Primary School Mukono West is among the earliest established schools in the country.
[related_posts]Bishop’s Primary School Mukono West has 688 pupils, and is staffed by 27 teachers in 12 classrooms. It operates a special needs program that covers the majority of the 156 boarded students (61 students are totally deaf, and five faculty currently teach sign language).
Bishop’s Primary School Mukono West receives government grants and, in addition, charges fees per term of 60,000 shillings ($24)for day scholars and 225,000 shillings ($90) for boarders. Many of the school’s students are orphans, and some must go without lunches. Its water supply is intermittent and it lacks proper fencing, and needs structural renovations.
