Kampala Kindergarten Association | KKA is the first Kindergarten in Uganda. It was registered on September 26, 1951 as a Public Trust by a group of European parents who needed a place where their children could be while they went to work.
Kampala Kindergarten is found in Nakasero on Plot 12 Kyagwe Road, adjacent to Nakasero Primary School.
KKA is a centre for Early Childhood Education that was exclusive to European children ages 2 to 6 years but is now home to children of all nationalities.
Vision: To be the Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Education.
Mission: To facilitate children to develop their potential through both formal and informal early childhood learning.
The Kampala Kindergarten Association Curriculum has been developed through the times to meet the requirements of the changing times.
It aims at producing an all-round learner through both formal and informal early childhood learning disciplines such as Science, Mathematics, Reading, Writing, Computer, Swimming, Physical Education, Oral Expression, Music, Dance and Drama, to mention but a few.
The Curriculum is characterized by practicability, participation and observation guided by a team of specialized staff in early learning.
Any child enrolled at Kampala Kindergarten is exposed to such a rich amalgam of activities that will, without doubt, provide a wondrous experience during the time spent at Kampala Kindergarten.
- Physical Education: In order to balance out the high quality learning received within the classrooms, Kampala Kindergarten provides a comprehensive Physical Education program for the children the results of which are displayed during our Annual Sports Day.
- Swimming: Kampala Kindergarten is unique among nursery schools in that it also possesses an all-embracing swimming program which caters to the needs of all students not just a select few like some other institutions the results of which are displayed during our Annual swimming Gala
