Medical Laboratory Training School, Jinja started in 1967. It started as a training site for laboratory attendants for Jinja Hospital. In 1976 training of Laboratory Assistants commenced with only fifteen (15) students.
The vision of the school is to be a leading epicenter for Medical Laboratory Technology competence based training in the East African region.
Mission: To produce skilled and knowledgeable personnel with positive attitudes for quality laboratory technology services for national development.
This is a a government aided school and an academic institution registered by the National Council for Higher Education. The school strives to produce Laboratory Technicians and Laboratory Technologists that have a strong feeling of empathy for the people they attend to
