Kityerera PEAS High School is located close to the shores of Lake Victoria in the Kityerera Sub-County of Mayuge District in Eastern Uganda. Its construction was a result of the continuing partnership between PEAS and Ark. Opening in January 2013 it was one of the four schools opened by Ark (Absolute Return for Kids) and PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools) that year.
When Kityerera PEAS High School opened last year, just over 100 students enrolled. We were pleased to discover that the student [related_posts]population has now doubled in size to 220. This means that, together with the nearby Malongo PEAS high school, we have over 550 children enrolled on this small peninsular in Mayuge District – an area where PEAS is obviously making a real and popular impact.
