Bukoyo Senior Secondary School is a mixed, day and boarding, O’ and A’level, government aided school, located in iganga district, Kigulu County, bulamagi sub-county and within the locality of bukoyo parish. Bukoyo secondary school is found south west of iganga town on iganga-jinja highway along iganga- kamuli road about 1 km from iganga road. Bukoyo secondary school offers both arts and science programs which prepare students for the challenges of the future.

In 1952, Bukoyo senior secondary school became a junior secondary school. Then in 1956, Bukoyo was commissioned by the governor Andrew Cohen as a mixed junior boarding school. It had a few permanent buildings at that time. In spite of its age, Bukoyo senior secondary school attained secondary school in May 1979, Bukoyo senior secondary school’s commitment to academic excellence, moral purpose and professional development is evident in the success of our 10,000 alumni.

Facilities: Bukoyo senior secondary school has well stocked laboratories and a fully equipped library. It also has a well facilitated sick bay and a qualified nurse who over sees it.
